HOW TO MAKE SAMOSA

INGREDIENTS FOR SAMOSA DOUGH
*2 Cups all-purpose flour
*1/4 cup oil
*1/4 cup water
*1 teaspoon ajwain[carom seeds]
*3/4 teaspoon salt
FILLING FOR SAMOSA
*250 gram potatoes
*1/2 cup green peas
*1/4 cup crushed cashew nuts
*1 tablespoon oil
*2 green chillies chopped
*1 teaspoon amchoor
*1 teaspoon ginger paste
*1 pinch hing[asafoetida]
*Chopped coriander
SAMOSA MASALA
3/4 teaspoon garam masala,cumin powder,1/2 tablespoon red chilli powder.
RECIPE TIME
1.Boil the potato until done
2.Next add flour,ajwain,salt,and oil in a bowl.Rub them through.
3.Add water little by little.and make the flour into dough. cover it and keep aside.
FILLING FOR SAMOSA
1.Heat a pan with oil.Add cumin and ginger paste and fry it until it's raw smell is gone.
Now add cashew and fry for 1-2 mins.
2.Add potatoes,garam masala,chilli powder,amchur and salt.Mix and saute for 5 mins.
3.Lastly add coriander leaves and keep aside.
LET'S MAKE SAMOSA
1.Make dough into small balls.
2.Apply oil into rolling area and flatten the ball into oval or circular shape.
3.Cut into half .apply water to the edges and join the edges make it into a corn shape. Press gently and seal the edges.
4.Fill the potato masala and close the edges.
5.Bring the edges together and make a pleat on one side. Now seal the pleat. Check all the edges is it sealed or not.If not seal it.
NOW FRYING TIME
1.Heat oil in a pan .The oil temperature should be in medium hot.
2.Add samosas to the oil and deep fry it until it's golden brown colour.
3.After frying all put them into a kitchen tissue paper to drain the execs oil.
